  If you enjoy a delicious lunch of homemade soup, salad, sandwiches AND PIE, this will be the place you want to go! The cobblers are good, but the cream pies are yummy! Several small groups meet there for the food and friendly atmosphere. Check their schedule for seasonal Friday evenings and Sunday dinners.

  I am an elderly female that lives in Anna. I am not able to get out very often and have been wanting to go eat at Country Cupboard/Potato Barn for so long and the opportunity finally arose. Now I know why the parking lot is cram packed every day. The food is absolutely delicious! They make homemade soups and homemade pies everyday. I had the best coconut cream pie ever and even took a slice of fresh warm rhubarb pie home for later. It took about twenty minutes to get our food but it was obviously prepared fresh. They were fairly busy too. I personally don't mind to wait a little longer for wonderful food. We decided to sit on the other side while there and the staff was extremely polite and accomodating to my needs. As a matter of fact, as I passed thru the adjoining section I could see the kitchen staff working and I actually saw one of the cooks accidentally drop a sandwich on the floor. She immediately disposed of it without ever looking up to see me passing thru. I hear so many good things about this restaurant so I was surprised to read the "gross" review. Kind of makes you wonder if it may be a competitor writing bad reviews to try to kill their business. If it were that "gross" the parking lot would not be packed daily. Also, when we sat down the menu stated very plainly that they are not a fast food restaurant and prepare the food fresh to order. So I may not get to go often but you can bet I will go there every chance I get. The atmosphere is very unique. I think the barn has been there since around 1920-definately a treasure worth keeping.

  This is restuarant is so grosse. I have heard that they drop the food on the floor and still serve it to there customers. Plus the service there is horrid. I had hair and dirt inside of my sandwhich and I waited twenty minutes for a refill on my water. I expected so much more than what I recieved. I heard this was a great place to sit down and have a meal with friends. I was told wrong apparently. Does this sound like the kind of place you want to eat?
